Giggles

Over the past several weeks Dax has started doing a little chuckle. So far he only will giggle when up above your head and being shaken (which proves to be difficult to both get him giggling and catch on camera when I'm home by myself). However, yesterday I did get a couple giggles out of him while strapped in his bouncer- ENJOY!

Does anyone else love that he smiles so big that his cheeks shut his eyes? (... Is it that his smile is so big or his cheeks are so big??)

Krannert Welcome

Curtis accepted a spot at Krannert School of Management's Master degree program here at Purdue. We will start his Master's this August. His "Welcome Weekend" finished with a fancy dinner at Ross Ade Stadium which the spouses could join in. It was our first "date" without Dax and we had a wonderful dinner and view of Purdue. We are really excited to be here for at least another two years. Curtis can't wait to start school again and was really impressed with his experiences from the weekend.

3 Months

In Dax's THIRD Month of life he learned and experienced new first almost everyday!
There were above average temperatures outside and Dax enjoyed a lot of time outside with Mom and Dad.
Dax recovered from his 2 Month shots and had his first cold. These were before and after pictures of taking Tylenol for the first time.
BEFORE: Red cheeks, glossy eyes, listless.
AFTER: Though looking more pathetic, he was feeling well enough to tell me about his awful experience. Dax is quite a "goo"er and chatter. He had hardly talked all day until after his Tylenol and it was like the flood gates opened and for 10 minutes he just had this look and told me all about his sad story! In Dax's third month he still kept sleeping through the night! By 3 months it was common for him to sleep between 8-10 hours each night. Pictured also is Dax's favorite night time snuggle-buddy "Little Bear". A bear head/rattle with a soft little blankie. He loves to snuggle the blankey and often at night after he snuggles it to sleep we go in and remove Little Bear from being on top of Dax's face. We often wake up to find Little Bear sopping wet. Evidently Dax gives lots of kisses to Little Bear before we get him out of bed in the morning!Dax also takes great naps. Usually 3 or 4 a day. On Sunday's he enjoys napping with Mom...and with Dad.Dax also found his tounge this month. He spent most of this day looking like this.Dax has learned, like most children do, when are opportune times to make messes. This morning Curtis was running late for work, ironed his shirt, put it on and picked Dax up to give him a goodbye kiss. I smiled the rest of the day about it- I don't know if Curtis did!At only 3 Months Dax is already an older Cousin. And has 3 more cousins to come before he will be 6 months old. Here is Dax with visitors from down the road- cousins Avery and Wyatt who rode in thier wagon to come for a visit!Three months have gone by but we love Dax more then ever. We are so looking forward more days in the sun and new "firsts" of the next month!

Hope

Every year my Mom graciously treats all Gibb Women to "Time Out for Women". It is a wonderful conference, this year with messages of "Infinite Hope" through speakers and song. In the tumultous world we live in, it was so refreshing to take time to focus on the Hope we have.
"The things we hope for lead us to Faith. The things we hope in lead us to Charity" -President Uchtdorf
Gibb Girls enjoyed the conference, shopping, dinner and staying the night in Indy. But we missed my sister Kalie who is "great with child" in Pheonix, but usually flys out for Time Out. This year Dax got to come (he was such a great sport!) but next year he will get to stay home with his Dad! (Thanks Mom, for a wonderful weekend!)

Rollin'

Today for the first time Dax rolled over! I put him on his belly with only his diaper on and he posted up and rolled over within seconds of being laid down- as if he had been doing it for weeks. I squealed with excitement so loud that Dax burst into tears and wouldn't roll over again for several hours. But tonite he rolled over several more times and I am learning to squeal softer. It is so thrilling to watch Dax get bigger everyday. Here are some shots of the action!
Pushing up.
The lean. The Big Finish! Isn't he getting so big
