Hill Cumorah

Curtis and I took advantage of a long weekend and hit the open road for one last road trip before the baby comes. Our first stop was in Palmyra, NY at Hill Cumorah.

What's a crib doing in my house?

There is a crib in our house!! Curt's parents were generous enough to purchase a crib for Monster! Here are some pictures of us (mostly Curtis) putting it together! We got it a couple weeks ago and have been taking our time putting it together as well as the rest of the nursery-to-be. We have gotten a couple hand me down pieces that have been re-finishing and getting ready for the baby's arrival. Getting all the pieces out of the box.
I think that they make crib directions purposefully vague so that installing what seems like a simple rectangular piece of furniture takes all night. Crib manufacturers push this bonding experience on new parents-to-be.
We had a great time putting it together. But the next morning walking down the hall I thought "what the!!" when I saw a crib in my house! It was one of the first "Holy Cow" reality moments of our pregnancy.

Labor Day Bounce

For Melanie's 20th birthday she had a birthday party and rented a Moon Bounce! Luckily, her birthday was over Labor Day weekend and we got to keep it at my parent's all weekend. Curtis and Melanie are eachother's younger siblings- that they never had. They take it upon themselves to entertain one another. They invented some extreme Moon Bounce games and had a great time in the middle of the night trying to bounce eachother off of it. (Yes, I am worried about the extreme genes that Curtis is passing on to my son.)

...Yikes.

23 Weeks

This week I am 23 weeks! And I really feel that I have grown a LOT in the last couple weeks. I know it is just a glimpse of the growth to come. I had a Dr appointment last week and everything is looking great and on track. Here is a peak at my growing belly! I've started feeling Monster kick on a regular basis. Most mornings he thinks he has Karate lessons and after lunch is Soccor practice. Feeling the baby moving is so much more fun than morning sickness, it is his new way of letting us know he is still there!

It's a BOY!

We had our utlrasound yesteday and found out we are having a boy!! We couldn't be more excited about having a son. Here are some ultrasound pictures, though they are hard to see once scanned and posted! Everything checked out beautifully so far. We even did a little "blue" shopping afterward! Hooray for a little boy!
"It's a boy" with arrow in this picture!!

Here is baby's profile. This picture was so cute because we were trying to get a good picture of baby's hands and baby would just wave. It was adorable!

Baby's feet. Baby had his feet crossed with knees together for most of the appointment, that is how Curtis stands and sleeps- so cute!

This is baby looking straight at the camera, though kinda creepy and hard to see!

The end of Softball

Curt's softball team made it to the championship this year. The championship game wasn't that close but they were excited that they didn't get ten run-ruled! Last year this softball team only won two games and this year placed second so everyone was excited about thier #2 finish. We (mostly just me) are excited for Softball to be done because Football coaching has already started. Here are some pictures from the end of the season.
