1st Gibb Family Reunion

This year was the 1st semi annual Gibb Family Reunion. We went up to Potato Creek and camped, fished, canoed  hiked and played. And spent time at Nana & Papa's with games, a baby blessing and much more fun. It was a great extended weekend.
Here are some of my favorite random pictures from the reunion:
BIG fishing line knot in Papa's pole, courtesy of little helper hands.
This was the first fish we caught on our fishing day. It got a little too much loving from all the excited kids!
Uncle Brandon "caught" a keeper, he made the minimum size limit!
Dax loved staying up past bedtime and
 trying s'mores!
 Brandon and Curtis out fishing.
Out for a canoe trip.
 Cute cousins.
Uncle Brandon napping while the rest of camp got packed up.
Nana & Papa with all their grandkids and
 the whole Gibb gang!
I just love little boys, these three love to wrestle!
A wonderful Family and a wonderful reunion!

Fishing with Papa

At this year's Gibb Family Reunion we spent some time fishing. Unfortunately, Curtis had just started his internship and couldn't come for all of it. But fortunately, Papa stepped in and spent time fishing with Dax.
They even caught a couple fish.
Dax wasn't a fan of this fishing touching him, though.
I will always cherish these photos.

Gap

What's the best accessory to chubby cheeks?
A big GAP in between front teeth!
I can't get over how adorable he is with front teeth in.

Field Museum

We went on a mini vacation up to Chicago while Curtis had some time off and enjoyed visiting the Field Museum  with my brother Riley and his family.
Dax and Curtis in front of Sue the T-Rex, the largest and most complete T-Rex.
 Dax in in dino-size footprint.
And kissing the footprint, unfortunately he's picked up a habit of kissing public places to discover and then report if they are cold or hot.
Here he is signing that it is cold.
And kissing again, this time a Dinosaur friend.
We had a great time looking at lots of Dinosaurs, Mummies and Fossils.

Swimming

Curtis and I took our turn watching all 4 cousins under 5, while my brother and his wife went to the Temple in Chicago. We took the kids swimming for most of our time with them and had a blast!

Going to the Temple

Though we didn't get a picture of it, Curtis and I enjoyed a wonderful Temple session in the Chicago Temple for our Church. It was so nice to visit the temple together, courtesy of Riley & Jessica watching Dax for us.
Going to the Temple was the main reason for our Chicago trip, it is one of the most rewarding times we spend as a couple. We love it.

Birthday Trip

For my birthday we traveled north to stay with my sister Melanie and her husband. They were such cute hosts and we celebrated with shopping, pizza, cupcakes and a movie.
Plus a carousel ride:
and a Man-trip to Bass Pro Shop:
We had a fantastic visit and I had such a fun Birthday, though I have to admit I am feeling older. (A quarter of a century sounds old!)
