Zoo

We have a great, little, free zoo in Lafayette. It's perfect to just go see a couple animals and call it an afternoon, we'll miss it this summer.

 This llama got a close up view of Dax and he threw quite a fit. We were nervous that he wouldn't visit any other animals until we discovered that by telling him the animals were just dogs that his fears went away. He is used to a huge variety and sizes of dogs thanks to family. 

 Thankfully we did see prairie dogs and 

a Singing Dog, so we weren't completely lying about all the "dog" exhibits.

 We learned a lot from the wallaby's. We talked to Dax about how there was a baby in this mama's belly, just like in his mama's belly. He didn't really care.

Hopefully he didn't pick up any boxing skills from watching these wallaby brothers!

 

And then Dax found the water and the animals were no longer intriguing. 

It was a perfect little visit to the zoo.
