Baby Stud-Muffin

My son is so handsome.
He didn't need to wear this adorable outfit to church to prove it, but it didn't really hurt my case now did it?

"So-so suck my toe!"

Dax was playing with his friend Jack and though I didn't hear him say it, I think he must have said "So-so suck my toe". Because we turned around and Jack was intently sucking on Dax's toes.
I guess that is what good friends are for.
I'm pretty sure Jack enjoyed it more than Dax, but I was excited that Dax got a play mate and a pedicure all in the same evening!

Story Time

Story Time:
4 Songs
3 Stories
2 first-time Participants (Dax & Mama)
1 Craft
and ONE great time!
Dax was so great at his first Story Time. He was by far the youngest, but was one of the best behaved. Here he is showing off his first craft (with his name on it). The theme today was "The Beach".
Our first Fridge artwork! (Granted my hand directed his using the glue-stick and marker, but we are still excited!)

Dax's Growing Toes

I can't believe how big Dax is getting. Today he was snoozing in his swing and I couldn't believe my eyes, his toes were hanging out!

Diaper Change

Dax typically loves his diaper changed.
He will kick and talk and giggle and sing most the way through them. I wanted to take a picture today of how intently he'll kick during them. But, I got the camera out and he just held still, stared and smiled innocently.
(Dax keeps getting this stinking rash on his face. I think it is from drool, like by doing this... Anyone have any other ideas or solutions?)
I didn't get any pictures of Dax kicking but as soon as I put the camera down he was off like a kicking maniac again. And for the first time he kicked my nicely organized diaper caddy off of the dresser. EXHIBIT A:
Don't let his innocent looks fool you, he is a little boy.

A Strawberry Patch Baby

Dax and I went to a local Orchard and picked Strawberries with my little Sister and Mom. Dax, as usual, was more pleasant than I deserved and made for an enjoyable time.I was committed to making picking strawberries with a Four month old work for me, I wish someone could have taken pictures of how ridiculous I must have looked. First, I tried to squeeze my jogging stroller in-between the mounded rows of strawberries, Fail. Then I decided I could hold Dax and pick, Fail. So I resorted to putting Dax in the Baby Bjorn having him face me and bending over to pick, Fail. So I turned Dax around and bent over to pick berries, Fail. Bending over wasn't working because poor Dax was basically upside down and would just grunt- it had to have been awful for him! So, instead of leaning over I knelt on the ground and crawled on my hands and knees holding Dax in the Bjorn with one hand and dragging my basket along and picking one handed with the other hand. I got quite a few berries this way- but I can't even imagine how it must have looked! Once my back started protesting I put Dax in his car seat and just tugged him along my row. As you can see.. we both enjoyed this best!

The three of us each ended up with a basket full of fresh strawberries.
We spent the afternoon; cleaning, sorting, slicing, blending, cooking, mixing, stirring and processing our berries. We have a freezer full of sliced strawberries, a pantry full of strawberry jam and a fridge full of fresh berries. It was well worth my strawberry-stained knees!
Yum!
