Dax is almost through his Ninth Month and has learned lots of new tricks! This is his first time pulling himself to standing without holding on to anyone.
Some TRICKS AND TALENTS at Nine Months:
- Dax uses sign language to say; milk and all done/finished (on occasion he has signed please, more and dog).
- Dax says "Da" and points for Ducks and Dogs.
- And says "Ba" for Balls.
- He says "Uh-oh" (usually sounds like Ah-Ah-Uh) when he drops something.
- He points to things he wants and shakes his head no (and squeals) for things he doesn't want.
- He turns pages on books and will sit and look at books for a while.
- When prompted he can clap and wave bye-bye.
- Dax loves to smack his lips and sometimes he'll put them to good use and give Mom kisses.
- He can give High-Fives.
- He'll raise his hands above his head for "Touchdown" or to show his Mama he is "so big" when she asks "How big is Dax?".
- He loves to throw.
- Dax loves to mimic breathing, especially over exaggerated Huffs.
- He will jump off (more like lean off) any surface I've sat him on, if I count to three really dramatic. He looks so big jumping (leaning quickly) into the pool at swim lessons.
- He's great at opening drawers and emptying their contents.
- He loves to kick and splash in the tub or the pool and recently is obsessed with eating the bubbles out of his bath and walking the line of bubble eating or sucking up a mouth full of water.
- He's a computer genius, when he's close enough to whack a keyboard he brings up shortcuts and prompts we've never seen before.
- He loves to make people laugh and doesn't like it when he can see people that aren't look at him!
We love him more than ever and are so proud of how big and talented he is getting. We can't wait to see what he learns to do everyday!
