This year we took the boys to cut down our own Christmas Tree. Dax loved walking through the trees and asking "This one? This one" then would shake his head and say "no" and head to the next. We thoroughly checked out dozens of trees before we found a perfect one just our size.

Dax was so excited about the cutting down and dragging the tree out part, he loves anything with tools and helping Daddy.

Watching the tree get all it's needles shook. Picking out, cutting down and bringing home a real Christmas tree is so fun for us, well worth the hassle. Curtis has very few non-negotiables, but putting up a real Christmas tree is one. The smell, the look, the nostalgia- we love everything about them.
