Have you ever tried ding-dong ditching with a 1 year old?
We knew it would be impossible because (1) we wanted to do in the daylight (before bedtime) and (2) after each stop Dax would have to be re-buckled into his car seat. What we didn't expect was at the first stop (Curtis' brother's home) Dax would throw a fit about leaving, his best buddy, Wyatt's house without getting to play. Thus making each stop difficult as we explained that we were just stopping momentarily at all his friend's/cousin's/aunt's/uncle's/grandparent's/nana's/papa's homes. It was hard to understand as a 1 year old why we were getting out of the car, seeing someone he loves and then making him get right back into his car seat and leaving. Poor little guy, he loves his family so much.
But we had a great time none-the-less.
DING-DONG... RUN, Dax, RUN!
