Our "vacation" called having a baby

I have to say that I love having a baby. Lots because it brings another pregnancy to the end, but large in part because of how great our experiences have been with our hospital, doctors and nurses. This is my OB, whom we love, Dr. Schafer with Rockwell and his Dada.
Among the great staff, our hospital takes great care of new moms. For one meal they bring in a "Celebration Meal" for the new mom, dad and kids if you choose. Our menu included Filet Mignon, Lobster Ravioli, Cheesecake and more (I actually do enjoy most of the food at our hospital, which is a plus).
This is what Rockwell did during his parent's date.
We love having a baby so close to family. After Dax was born and Curtis decided to go to Purdue for his Master's we knew we wanted to have another baby while here by family. We LOVE family visiting us while at the hospital.
Nana, Aunt Mel and Brandon held Rockwell the same night he was born, they waited patiently in the waiting-room after his delivery had been announced.
Grandpa.
 Grandma.
Papa.

Aunt Jess.
Uncle Ry.

Cousin Easton (he LOVES babies and Rockwell).
Uncle Mo.
Aunt Kalie & Cousin Grey "visiting" from Arizona.
More big brother visits.
(Somehow I missed taking a picture of Uncle Kevin & Aunt Michelle, sorry!).
The morning after delivery I had a massage therapist come in and ask if he could give me a free massage, of course I accepted- another perk of our great hospital. Even with great care, housekeeping and room service at my beckon call we were still excited to go home.
I often think about how lucky/spoiled I am to be living in this generation. Even talking to my mom and mother-in-law about their birthing experiences I find things have changed so much, for the better.
I am grateful I have never shared a room with another new mom.
I am grateful my baby and husband have permanent spaces in my room, Curtis even had his own couch/bed and flat-screen TV.
I am grateful that all our visitors and I are allowed to hold and kiss our new baby.
I am grateful for great care before, during and after delivery.
But most of all I am grateful for a healthy son, what a miracle these little humans are.
I am so grateful to be Rockwell's mama, we are so in love with him!
